The Role of the Licensing Committee

The Licensing Committee - which comprises a seven member committee one of which is the Chairperson - is to licence all participants in horseracing together with all racecourses in the 32 counties. Meetings of the Committee are generally convened on a monthly basis to conduct their business. The Licensing Committee is empowered by the Stewards of the Turf Club to carry out it's duties under Rule 19 (b) of the Rules of Racing and Irish National Hunt Steeplechase Rules.
