The Stewards fined Patrick Martin, trainer, €65 for failing to fit a tongue tie to Staccato Wolf, prior to entering the parade ring.
The Stewards enquired into an incident approaching the furlong marker involving Hunt, ridden by N.G. McCullagh, placed second and Rule The Waves (USA), ridden by J.P. O'Brien, placed third. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was accidental and took no further action.
215B 100 Years Racing At Gowran Park NurseryN.G. McCullagh, rider of Sauanna Belle, trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran free in the early stages.
The Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final furlong involving Toscanelli, ridden by J.P. O'Brien, placed second and The Ice Meister, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed first. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judges placings and took no further action.
215D Ir.Stallion Farms EBF Hurry Harriet StksThe Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Cosmic Cannonball, ridden by K.J. Manning, placed fourth, Queen Of Alba, ridden by R.P. Cleary, unplaced , We'll Go Walking, ridden by G.F. Carroll, unplaced , Ballybacka Queen, ridden by C.D. Hayes, unplaced and Shell House, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, unplaced. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that K.J.Manning was in breach of Rule 214, having ridden carelessly and having considered his record, suspended him for two race days. Furthermore R.P. Cleary was cautioned concerning the accuracy of his evidence.
S. Foley, rider of Coolibah, trained by Charles O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount raced awkwardly.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Lahinch Classics, trained by David Wachman, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
215E Flaming Hot BBQ Evening H'capThe Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Nancy Rose, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed second and Muileata, ridden by K.J. Manning, unplaced. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that G.F.Carroll was in breach of Rule 214, having ridden carelessly and having considered his record, suspended him for two race days.
