R. Loughran, rider of Lifestyle Choice trained by Kevin McDonagh, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled on the ground and was pulled up.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined The Unsub, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race. Samples were taken for analysis.

P. Carberry, rider of The Unsub, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled from flag fall.

The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. W. Fleming, regarding the failure of L.A. McKenna, rider of City Of Doral (GB), placed fifth, to weigh in after this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he simply forgot to weigh in. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion L.A. McKenna was in breach of Rule 227 in that he failed to present himself to weighed in by the Clerk of the Scales, and taking his record into account, they severely cautioned him. Furthermore, acting under Rule 230 (ii), the Stewards disqualified City Of Doral (GB) from fifth place.
