The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Hurricane Sky, trained by Charles O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards requested a report from Norman Lee, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Blackandamber Vic, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Norman Lee reported that this filly is only 15.2 hands and was helped by carrying a light weight and the application of a tongue strap on ground that was soft compared to the gluey and testing ground that she had been encountering. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Champoleon (FR), trained by Noel Meade, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analyses.

P. Carberry, rider of Champoleon (FR), trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled from flagfall.
