The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

A.P. McCoy, rider of In Good Nick (GB), trained by C.Roche, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran too keen early, blundered at the second last and had no extra from there.

K.C. Sexton, rider of War Of The Pennys trained by Michael Cullen, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount became unsighted by a shadow at the last hurdle on the first circuit, took off too soon and fell.

J.J. Burke, rider of Thekingofconnemara, trained by Miss Elizabeth Doyle, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was never really travelling on today's going.

Owing to low sun, the Stewards granted permission for the last fence to be omitted in this race.

The Stewards interviewed P. Townend, rider of On His Own, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that P. Townend was in breach of Reg 10 3. (f) by using his whip with excessive force and having taken his record into account suspended him for four race days.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Bobs Worth, trained by Nicky Henderson (in GB), at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
