The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

D.P. McDonogh, rider of A Few Dollars More, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount suffered accidental interference approaching the 1st bend causing him to check for a stride.

D.E. Mullins, rider of Stroll On, trained by R.Donohoe, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stumbled on leaving the stalls and unseated him.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Belts And Braces, ridden by C.D. Hayes, Kano's Ghirl, ridden by N.G. McCullagh, and Moss Nation (GB), ridden by W.M. Lordan, where it appeared Belts And Braces suffered interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion the interference was caused accidentally and so they took no further action.
