B.T. O'Connell, rider of Fact File trained by C.Byrnes, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise in running.
024C Surehaul Mercedes-BenzThe Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Kauto Grand Mogol (FR), trained by Miss Elizabeth Doyle, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.
024F Derrygrath Novice H'cap S'chaseThe Stewards received a report from Mr.P.L.Malone , Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that A.E. Lynch, rider of Harangue, weighed in at 1.6 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his record, suspended him for one race day.
D.N. Russell, rider of Company Coming, trained by J.H. Culloty, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount made a few mistakes and did not travel on the second circuit.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Company Coming, trained by J.H. Culloty, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be stiff behind post race.
A.E. Lynch, rider of Harangue, trained by Paul John Gilligan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount did not travel well coming down the hill.
024G Woodrooff M'dn Hunters S'chaseThe Stewards interviewed Mr John J Fitzpatrick, rider of Court Frontier, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.4, in that he failed to give his mount time to respond and having considered his record, severely cautioned him concerning his future responsibilities in this regard. Furthermore the rider was instructed to attend RACE for one day's tuition on the correct use of the whip.
