G.F. Carroll, rider of Broadfield Puddle trained by J.T. Gorman, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran free and he checked his mount in running to keep off heels.

C. O'Donoghue, rider of Octavia, trained by David Marnane, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that he checked his mount in running to avoid clipping heels.

L.F. Roche, rider of Pavlopetri, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that he checked his mount in running to avoid clipping heels.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Can She Fly (GB), at the request of trainer, Denis W. Cullen, and reported the animal to be lame post race.

287D Clodovil EBF Garnet Stakes

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined I'm Yours (GB), trained by D.K. Weld, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

287E Andrew & Bridget Kenny Memorial Mdn Hdle

The Stewards enquired into the falls of Mclaren Vale, ridden by R.C. Colgan, and Liss Ui Riain, ridden by B.F. Cawley, on approaching the bend seven furlongs from the finish. Evidence was heard from B.F. Cawley, who stated that his mount slipped up independently and from R.C. Colgan, who stated that his mount was brought down by a fallen horse. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action.

D.E. Mullins, rider of Investmentsuccess, trained by Alan Fleming, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran very free.

287G Woodlands 100 Club October H'cap

The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. W. Flemming, regarding the failure of C.J. McGovern, rider of Won Diamond (GB), placed, fifth, to weigh in after this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned in the presence of M. Halford, trainer and master of C. J. McGovern. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards disqualified Won Diamond (GB) from fifth place. Furthermore the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Rule 227 and having considered his record, suspended him for two racedays and ordered that he forfeit his riding fee.

P.D. Deegan, trainer of Aussie Valentine, reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Thursday 26th February that his charge has had a wind operation since this run.

287H Kildare Post (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Miss K. Harrington, rider of Sandymount Duke, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3.(f), in that she had used her whip with excessive frequency and having considered her record suspended her for two racedays. Mrs T.K. Cooper, Acting Steward, absented herself from this enquiry.
