The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Three River, at the request of trainer, James M. Ryan, and reported the animal to be lame behind post race.

Anastasia O'Brien, rider of Egyptian Warrior trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount made a respiratory noise in-running.
