The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

The Stewards requested a report from C.A.Murphy, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Empire Of Dirt, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge had disappointed on his previous run here at Leopardstown on December 27th, when he missed the break badly and lost interest thereafter. He felt that today's positive start had kept his charge interested and this in his opinion, had brought about the improved performance. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the report.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Buiseness Sivola (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

P.T. Enright, rider of Daring Article trained by Robert Tyner, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled and was pulled up thereafter.
