The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

A. Ring, rider of What A Jewel trained by Eoin Doyle, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left.

M.G. Nolan, rider of Venture Lazarus trained by Vincent Laurence Halley, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined State Of Origin, trained by Edward P.Harty, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

Due to the low lying sun, both fences in the straight were omitted.
