The Stewards interviewed K.J. Leonard, rider of Charlies Missile, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that K.J. John Patrick Shanahan, trainer of Charlies Missile, attended this enquiry.

083H Heritage StakesThe Stewards requested a report from Mrs Denise Foster, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Lily's Rainbow, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Mrs Denise Foster reported that her charge Lily's Rainbow had got stronger over the winter and had also become more relaxed in her attitude to training and consequently this allowed for the filly to be ridden more prominently today which was a change from the set riding method of being held up and produced with one run in her previous races. She felt that was the sole reason for the victory today. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
