The Stewards requested a report from W.P. Mullins, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Whiteout (GER), placed first, as compared with her previous run. W.P. Mullins reported that Whiteout (GER) had run a very good race at Cheltenham when finishing fifth beaten nine lengths in a handicap hurdle and then returned to Aintree but ran very flat before pulling up in a Grade 3 handicap hurdle. He added that the filly was freshened up since Aintree and returned to form today on a racecourse for which she has shown a liking by winning her third race here. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Kayf Supreme (GB), trained by J.T.R. Dreaper, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be have a wound on his right hindleg but was otherwise post race normal.

The Stewards requested a report from W.P. Mullins, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Pleasant Company, placed first, as compared with its recent run at Cheltenham. W.P. Mullins reported that his charge was pulled up in the 3 mile 7 furlong Novice Listed Steeplechase at Cheltenham having run too free. Today a hood was fitted and it had the desired effect of settling the animal. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

B.J. Cooper, rider of Tiger Roll trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up having gone lame.

The Stewards enquired into the fall of Mai Fitzs Jack, ridden by Miss S. O'Brien having failed to negotiate the bend past the stands. Miss S. O'Brien reported to the Stewards that her mount cocked his jaw, ran off the track and unseated her.
