145G Racing Again June 23rd H'capThe Stewards requested a report from D. Donovan, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Severus (GER), placed first, as compared with its most recent run at the Curragh on May 14th, when finishing last of eighteen runners. The trainer reported that his charge completely lost the break in the Curragh, was last out of the stalls in a big field of runners and never got going thereafter. He felt his charge jumped out smart today and was given the chance to be competitive which in his opinion, brought about the improved performance. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
