The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J.R. Barry, trainer of Bentelimar, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge lost a near fore shoe during this race.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Old Supporter, trained by Ms Helen P. Markham, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

B. Browne, rider of Old Supporter trained by Ms Helen P. Markham, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not handle the ground.

R. Loughran, rider of Grey Mountain Mist, trained by E. Sheehy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung left going into the dip on the final circuit.

B. Browne, rider of Its Only Me, trained by Michael C. Griffin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that the runners were tightly grouped when his mount accidentally clipped heels in the dip and unseated him.

P.D. Kennedy, rider of Dontbackme trained by P.G. Fahey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a mistake at the second last hurdle with a circuit to run and never travelled thereafter, eventually being pulled up.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Born To Size (GER), trained by W.J. Burke, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

R. Loughran, rider of The Brig trained by J.G. Coogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost his action and was pulled up.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Slievenamon, trained by Eric Larkin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have an overreach wound on her right fore pastern otherwise she was post race normal.
