 LEGAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

The Turf Club and Irish National Hunt Steeplechase Committee are the Regulatory Bodies for horseracing in Ireland and are responsible for the integrity and reputation of Irish racing both domestically and internationally. Both bodies are also responsible for the licensing of all participants in Irish racing.

 

The Licensing, Legal and Compliance department is responsible for the administration of licensing, disciplinary and legal matters under the Rules of Racing.

The Turf Club wishes to recruit an administrative assistant on a one-year part time fixed term contract.

Role:

Administrative support for the Head of Licensing, Legal and Compliance carrying out a range of administrative duties including issuing of correspondence, all pre-and post-administration relating to disciplinary hearings including preparation of disciplinary files, organising hearings, preparation and issuing of press releases and updating of website. Excellent interpersonal skills together with strong IT Skills and a proven ability to manage a diverse workload are a pre-requisite for this role.

Experience/skills required:
•    At least 2 years’ experience of working in a similar type administrative role.  
•    Excellent IT Skills to include Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook.
•    Strong interpersonal and team skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
•    Experience of working in a legal or regulatory environment advantageous.
•    A knowledge of horseracing useful but not a pre-requisite.
